A New England Journal of Medicine report is the latest to condemn mammography. Its title (Abolishing Mammography Screening Programs) suggests it’s time to close up breast cancer screening centers altogether.
Cited as evidence is a 25-year study among thousands of women detected just 484 cancers and 22% of them were unnecessarily treated with surgery, radiation or other therapies.
Also cited was a larger trial of over a half-million women that showed no evidence that mammography screening reduces over-all mortality. The report is even more sobering. For every breast-cancer death prevented in the U.S. prevented by annual screening beginning at age 50, 460-670 women are likely to have a false positive mammogram with repeat examination; 70-100 a needless biopsy and 3 to 14 an over-diagnosed case of cancer that would never be life threatening.

A Bloomberg News report delved into the reasons why a few patients respond to experimental cancer treatments while most others do not. Investigators still aren’t sure why some patients respond “miraculously” to treatment that largely fails others. It may be genetic predisposition. [Cancer ‘Miracle’ Patients Studied Anew For Disease Clues]. Readers were invited to comment on the report. Here is what one commentator posted:
Please, don’t be stupid with these alternative treatments. If you don’t understand how disease/cure works on cellular level defer it to professionals. Stephen Jobs was so arrogant that he delayed his treatment for 7 months trying to find alternative treatment. Please, don’t make same mistakes. Simple answers never work for complex questions. The Dark ages ended some time ago.

How absurd! Cancer researchers are saying they have conquered the “Everest of cancer genes” with the discovery of a synthetic molecule that inhibits the mutated RAS cancer-promoting gene. The lead scientist says: ‘People have tried to drug every part of ras and looked at every nook and cranny on it and screened a million compounds and never found anything that inhibits it well.” They say their molecule is “30 years in the making.” Their research is published in a recent edition of SCIENCE.
Now scroll down to read a report published in the journal NUTRITION in 1997 which cites that orange peel oil and its primary active ingredient limonene effectively block mutated RAS genes. Molecules in garlic and omega-3 fish and flaxseed oil do the same. So does resveratrol. How many are they allowing to needlessly die while they attempt to make blockbuster drugs to cure cancer? –Bill Sardi, Knowledge of Health, Inc.

You can read the abstract of their report for yourself, as published in the Molecular Aspects Of Medicine journal, published online August 29, 2013. University of Nebraska Medical Center researchers say estrogen imbalance promotes breast cancer. DNA adducts are formed, which is a piece of DNA bonded to a cancer-causing chemical.
These researchers say “the dietary supplements resveratrol and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) can act as cancer preventing agents by keeping estrogen metabolism balanced.” These are inexpenstive and could prevent “many of the prevalent types of human cancer,” they say.

The Saisei Mirai Clinics in Kobe, Japan have taken their “cancer cure” online and graphically describe how it works, including published studies for the more scientific investigator. A key part of the therapy is injection of Gc-macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF) which is gleaned from blood samples of healthy adults. Gc-MAF instructs white blood cells called macrophages to destroy cancerous cells as well as other foreign invaders like viruses.
The Saisei Mirai Clinics report they have successfully treated 345 consecutive patients with terminal metastatic (spreading) cancer. Some cases are reported at the website. They include the case of a 62-year old woman who was diagnosed with uterine cancer with spreading to the lymph nodes in 2011 and had undergone two prior chemotherapy sessions. After a battery of treatments to boost her own immune system, she achieved complete remission from cancer in 2013 (no tumor visible on CAT scan and normal tumor markers).

Various skeptics challenged my online report of a study published in the journal Anticancer Research that 345 patients with end-stage spreading (metastatic) cancer at a clinic in Japan had been successfully treated with immunotherapy. That published report presented three cases as examples. Skeptics claimed only 3 of the 345 treated patients were successfully treated.
I have received confirmation directly from the Saisei Mirai Clinic in Kobe, Japan, that these patients were successfully treated and are in 1-2 year remission following treatment with injectable Gc-MAF (macrophage activating factor), intravenous vitamin C and oral vitamin D plus lipoic acid. The clinic doctors report few if any side effects, improved quality of life, increased appetite in end-stage patients and prolonged survival. The e-mail received from Japan can be read below.

1. A paper, written by investigators at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, as published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, is a follow-up from a prior study published in 2011 that reached a similar conclusion. So it’s not news. (See No. 4 below) It is a confirming study. It appears to have been times for release to coincide with other negative reports involving dietary supplements.
2. The paper did not factor for other dietary supplements; maybe the non-aggressive cancers were vitamin supplement users. It is well established that omega-3 oils can promote or inhibit cancer based upon a variety of factors not considered in this narrow data analysis. A list of the carcinogenic and anti-carcinogenic properties of omega-3 oils were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

In the British newspaper The Telegraph, a writer there promotes legislation that is alleged to permit innovation in the war against cancer without penalizing physicians for stepping outside established norms. Twill bet you the proposed law is simply bait for passage of a law that ensures no threat will come to the reigning cancer industry.
Yet, in the words that were penned in The Telegraph, it was also admitted that existing law “obliges the doctor to follow the status quo, even though he/she knows it leads only to poor life-quality followed by death.” The report goes on to say “the current law requires the deceased receive only the ‘standard procedure’ – the endless repetition of a failed experiment.”

The incredible report that doctors in Japan have convincingly cured cancer (see report: IS CANCER BEING CURED RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES? – Knowledge of Health) speaks loudly for the route by which you are reading this breakthrough. You are not reading about this breakthrough from the American Cancer Society, nor the National Institutes of Health, nor from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, not even The World Health Organization.
Nor has the National Institutes of Health hurried together a press conference on this matter to announce immediate research funding. The FDA has not announced it will mobilize to fast-track this therapy. Nor does the Wall Street crowd make mention of it (the pharmaceutical sector of the markets would crash if this development was to be featured on evening network TV news.)
Someone has said there is more money in treating rather than curing cancer. That is a fact. The American Cancer Society says the tab for cancer care in the world is more than $753 billion annually. To make matters worse, health authorities say cancer care is no longer affordable in developed countries.

In May of 2008 this health writer published an almost unbelievable report of four published studies of 4-7 year remissions from colon and breast cancer facilitated by weekly injection of an abundant sugar-like protein in human blood serum called Gc macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF). A year later I wrote a follow-up report showing lack of interest by the cancer care community in this remarkable development.
Cancer cells secrete an enzyme called nagalase that completely blocks the conversion of Gc-protein to Gc-MAF which is needed to kill cancer cells via activation of white-blood cells known as macrophages. Macrophages track down and engulf cancer cells.
The startling aspect of these published reports is that the cancer community is ignoring them when there are simply no published studies showing long-term cures for any adult cancers. For example, typical survival for lung and colon cancer is 2-years or less.
