• NO STUDY: TAKING TOO MANY VITAMINS MAY INCREASE CANCER RISK

Posted April 23, 2015: by Bill Sardi

News headlines say a new study reveals high-dose vitamins, in particular folic acid, may increase the risk for cancer.  [ABC News April 20, 2015; Science Daily April 20, 2015] But wait. There was no new study.  It was just Tim Byers, an MD at the University of Colorado Cancer Center mouthing off once again against vitamin supplements in a forum at the American Association for Cancer Research.  [Colorado Cancer Blogs]

Dr. Byers has been on this vendetta against dietary supplements for some time now.  [Journal National Cancer Institute May 16, 2012]

Dr. Byers fails to note the many contrary studies, including the largest analysis among nearly 50,000 individuals that concluded there was no significant increase or decrease in the risk for cancer as blood levels of folic acid rose. [Lancet March 23, 2013]  Even 40 milligrams/day of folic acid over a period of 3.2 year did not produce an increased risk for cancer. [Journal American Medical Assn. Sept 12, 2007]

  • New E-Book: We Already Know How To Cure Cancer, by Bill Sardi

Book cover: We already know how to Cure Cancer - by Bill Sardi

I knew when I accepted the invitation to speak at the National Health Federation’s 60th annual awards dinner on January 31st, 2015, that I faced a challenge.  The point of my speech that night would take only a single sentence:  sugar causes cancer.  But what surrounds that statement would either make my speech convincing or not.  After all, you have to think about the preconceptions of your audience before you attempt persuasion.

And with that in mind, I would have to overcome my audience’s prevalent but mistaken belief that alkaline diets cure cancer.  As you will learn below, I failed to totally dispel that idea.

  • We Already Know How To Cure Cancer

Posted February 2, 2015: by Bill Sardi

Delivered at the Sixtieth Annual Awards Dinner, National Health Federation
Woodland Hills, California, January 31, 2015

Public speaking coaches suggest you size up your audience before you deliver a speech. I’m told there are three ways to segment an audience; those who already embrace what I have to say; those who stand in the middle and need further convincing and those who oppose or disagree with what I have to say. I’m told those who oppose or disagree will not move all the way to embracing my thoughts, that the best I can expect is for them to move towards the middle and those in the middle move towards what I am going to suggest here tonight.

  • Why A Few Cancer Patients Miraculously Respond To Experimental Cancer Treatment While Most Others Do Not

Posted April 14, 2014: by Bill Sardi

A Bloomberg News report delved into the reasons why a few patients respond to experimental cancer treatments while most others do not.  Investigators still aren’t sure why some patients respond “miraculously” to treatment that largely fails others.  It may be genetic predisposition.  [Cancer ‘Miracle’ Patients Studied Anew For Disease Clues].  Readers were invited to comment on the report.  Here is what one commentator posted:

Please, don’t be stupid with these alternative treatments. If you don’t understand how disease/cure works on cellular level defer it to professionals. Stephen Jobs was so arrogant that he delayed his treatment for 7 months trying to find alternative treatment. Please, don’t make same mistakes. Simple answers never work for complex questions. The Dark ages ended some time ago.

  • ABSURD CLAIM MUTATED RAS CANCER GENE CAN ONLY BE BLOCKED WITH SYNTHETIC DRUG WHEN THERE ARE MANY NATURAL MOLECULES BLOCK THE SAME GENE

Posted November 22, 2013: by Bill Sardi

How absurd!  Cancer researchers are saying they have conquered the “Everest of cancer genes” with the discovery of a synthetic molecule that inhibits the mutated RAS cancer-promoting gene.  The lead scientist says: ‘People have tried to drug every part of ras and looked at every nook and cranny on it and screened a million compounds and never found anything that inhibits it well.”  They say their molecule is “30 years in the making.”  Their research is published in a recent edition of SCIENCE.

Now scroll down to read a report published in the journal NUTRITION in 1997 which cites that orange peel oil and its primary active ingredient limonene effectively block mutated RAS genes. Molecules in garlic and omega-3 fish and flaxseed oil do the same. So does resveratrol. How many are they allowing to needlessly die while they attempt to make blockbuster drugs to cure cancer?  –Bill Sardi, Knowledge of Health, Inc.

  • According To A Recent Study, You Are At A 30 in 100, or less than 1 in 100, Increased Risk Of Developing Prostate Cancer If You Take High-Dose Vitamin C Pills. Which One Is It?

Posted October 20, 2013: by Bill Sardi

The headline above considers both the real world risk for prostate cancer in hard numbers versus the relative risk.  The difference in mortality risk is 40-fold.   Which one is it?

Steve Hickey, PhD, of Manchester, England, in his book entitled TARNISHED GOLD, co-authored with Hilary Roberts PhD, explains how researchers use overly large studies to find meaningless differences in health risks among human populations over a long period of time, differences that simply aren’t instructional to individuals.

  • How To Access And Implement The New Cancer Immuno-Therapy From Japan

Posted June 25, 2013: by Bill Sardi

The incredible report that doctors in Japan have convincingly cured cancer (see report: IS CANCER BEING CURED RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES? – Knowledge of Health) speaks loudly for the route by which you are reading this breakthrough.  You are not reading about this breakthrough from the American Cancer Society, nor the National Institutes of Health, nor from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, not even The World Health Organization.

Nor has the National Institutes of Health hurried together a press conference on this matter to announce immediate research funding.  The FDA has not announced it will mobilize to fast-track this therapy.  Nor does the Wall Street crowd make mention of it (the pharmaceutical sector of the markets would crash if this development was to be featured on evening network TV news.)

Someone has said there is more money in treating rather than curing cancer.   That is a fact.  The American Cancer Society says the tab for cancer care in the world is more than $753 billion annually.  To make matters worse, health authorities say cancer care is no longer affordable in developed countries.

Cancer Center In Japan Reports Startling Remissions Using Vitamin & Immunotherapy Regimen

In May of 2008 this health writer published an almost unbelievable report of four published studies of 4-7 year remissions from colon and breast cancer facilitated by weekly injection of an abundant sugar-like protein in human blood serum called Gc macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF).  A year later I wrote a follow-up report showing lack of interest by the cancer care community in this remarkable development.

Cancer cells secrete an enzyme called nagalase that completely blocks the conversion of Gc-protein to Gc-MAF which is needed to kill cancer cells via activation of white-blood cells known as macrophages.  Macrophages track down and engulf cancer cells.

The startling aspect of these published reports is that the cancer community is ignoring them when there are simply no published studies showing long-term cures for any adult cancers.  For example, typical survival for lung and colon cancer is 2-years or less.

  • Humans Can Mimic The Newly Discovered Cancer-Proof State Found In Naked Mole Rats

Posted June 20, 2013: by Bill Sardi

Now that we know why naked mole rats are impervious to cancer, the question arises – can we do this for humans?

Naked mole rats (said to be naked because they are hairless) live about ten times longer than any other rodent.  But that is not all – they are cancer-proof animals!

The discovery announced today was that a gooey sugar-like substance known as hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) serves to protect cells in naked mole rats from becoming cancerous.

While all animals produce hyaluronan, which is a water-holding gel in the body, the naked mole rat produces an unusually large (high molecular weight) form of this molecule.

If knowledge is gained how to reproduce this cancer-repellant property in humans, the prospect of cancer-proof humans would be on the horizon.

  • Now That The Cancer Genome Has Been Mapped, Why Wait For Cancer To Develop When It Can Be Prevented?

Posted May 3, 2013: by Bill Sardi

Bill Sardi Comments On New Genomic Anti-Cancer Drugs

The anticipation builds for anti-cancer drugs that target a broad array of genes that combat various types of cancer in different organs rather than a different drug for each cancer by their anatomical origin.  Instead of anti-cancer drugs for each organ, such as lung, prostate, breast and colon, geneticists now say new drugs in development may address many forms of cancer.

The first examples of this new thinking are studies published in the New England Journal of Medicine showing uterine cancer and leukemia have similar genetic fingerprints and could be treated by the same drug.  A large effort to this end is being commandeered at the Cancer Genome Atlas website.

However, the thinking is far too narrow now that geneticists know diseases are integrated via gene networks.  An online map can be viewed showing genes in many diseases overlap one another (note: it takes time to load).
